When to Drink Them
If you’re a tea-lover, then you know that there are many different types of green teas. From matcha to jasmine, what’s not to love? But as with any type of food or drink, it can be hard to decide which one is best for your particular situation. In this article we will discuss 5 different types of green tea and when they should be drunk: green tea with raspberry – in the mornings; Sencha – for breakfast; Genmaicha – all day long; Gyokuro – before dinner; Matcha – after dinner and anytime you want an energy boost; Jasmine – at night time.
The first thing you should know about green tea is that the different types of it are generally best drunk at certain times. If you’re looking for a type to drink in the morning, then sencha would be your best bet. It’s light and fresh tasting so it won’t weigh you down too much during breakfast time.
If you want something to have all day long, then genmaicha might be right up your alley. This particular kind is made from both leaves and rice pieces which gives it a unique flavor profile with hints of roasted corn mixed in as well. The only downside? You may find yourself becoming hungry more often than usual if this is what you choose to drink throughout most of the day!
Gyuro on the other hand can be drunk before dinner. This particular tea is made from young leaves, making it sweeter than some of the other types you’ll read about in this article. It’s also very light so avoid drinking too much or else you may feel more full that usual when eating your evening meal!
Matcha takes things up a notch and can be drunk after dinner, but only on certain occasions. Matcha contains caffeine which makes it great for an energy boost if needed; however many people tend to not drink matcha at night due to its stimulating properties. If you want something with less caffeine try jasmine instead!
The last thing we will mention here today is how all green teas are best enjoyed without milk sugar added because they contain their own sweetener. If you want to cut down on sugar or are lactose intolerant, then green tea is the obvious choice for your day-to-day drink of choice!
